I am trying to figure out what is the most reliable count of my indexed pages. Google tells me its 19,200 but I have nowhere near that many pages in total. The other SE's give various other answers to the query.

when I run the Indexed page count feature of SEO Elite, it tells me that it has "Completed... Finished 1637 of 1637 pages" What does this number represent? Is this meant to be a number that is the total number of unique pages indexed?

How do we know how many pages are indexed so we can calculate our clicks per page per day? I need a metric to show the effectiveness of my work.

    Thanks!

    Jim

Which site are you trying to find out how many pages you have indexed? The site in your profile?

If you are serving content both as www and non-www then your site count page figure will be artificially inflated. Set up a 301 redirect to fix that problem.

If other sites link to you using a 302 redirect then their URLs may be being included in your site count. Use absolute URLs inside your site to try to counteract this.
