Today, internet and information technology have contributed to the success of any business organization to a large extent. Any business owner would feel good if his site is posted with a good raking on the web world. Online business has become crucial in today’s world. The owner of the site feels self satisfied and proud when his site can be seen among the top rankings. A website receives much popularity when it is picked by popular sites like Yahoo, MSN and Google. However, it can happen that a site, inspite of good ranking, is lowered down by rip-off report. These reports can damage the ranking of any site on several search engines. Most business sites are facing the same problem in today’s world. Rip off report removal can place the site again to its respective position. But this process requires professionals and experts working in the field.

No site has much to fear from a fraudulent report; No SE wants to be the web police, and before acting on an unverifiable third party report (eg a claim of copyright theft), they will require a statement 'under penalty of perjury' - few scammers will risk prison just to make such a report.
Also, SEs will simply de-list the affected pages, NOT do anything that will affect the whole site.
If you feel your site has been the victim of a 'rip-off' report, first establish whether the report was justified, and if so, make the necessary corrections.
In general, false reports are are, and can be corrected by contacting the SE - you won't usually need to spend hard-earned dollars on a 'professional' who will charge hundreds to send two emails that you can do for free.
One vital precaution is to have a contact point on your site, to be sure you are alerted if problems like this occur.

I see the other problem from rip off report sitss are that the report shows up in the same search results page as your company or product. This devalues your listing. In many cases the company has satisfied the issue stated in the rip off report and has set in place mechanisms to prevent the issue stated in the ripoff report from occurring again. Its harder to get the complaints removed from the ripoff report than it is to satisfy the complaintants issue.

That's the idea - it allows them to levy extortionate fees for removal.
Of course, if the report was false, fraudulent or otherwise malicious, you can report the ripoff site and get them remved from Google.
And if they're in your country, you can sue them.
It's 99% a scam, using malicious reports to extort cash from successful sites - but the damage it does is more time wasting than fiscal; I very much doubt the damage is even close to the fear of damage.
