If anyone has good experience with any SEO company, please feel free to share it. But there is one condition. You should have 50+ posts count, else I will delete your post.

One option at the moment is to look around locally in your area for any seo companies. Try googling for "seo + you local town/city/area". See what comes up, see if they look any good.

yes try find a local one or if not do your research well and when you find out ask them for a good solid portfolio and web sites they have made rank well, and detailed plan of what they will do to optimize your site, if there is to much mystery about what they do then better to stay away from them.

I say "Let It Die!" smile

I can't wait for 16 more space-filling posts just to hear about some spammy 'SEO' company!

It's bound to be a real anticlimax now, let's face it wink

What do you mean by SEO?

That could mean almost anything from re-coding the HTML and CSS and fixing title elements and meta descriptions, making the HTML code semantic, adding breadcrumb trails, and making sure the content properly targets the required keywords (all of which is really best done at the same time as the site is being built), through to building links (in a spammy or non-spammy way), through to many other things.

Hello to everyone! I'm new here and I glad to take part in your discussion. I totally agree with g1smd, SEO is very loose concept. What exactly do you need for? Sorry, I can't type seo company link, but I know some really professional seo guys

All the best!

I disagree with surrealillusions. You shouldn't limit your search to local companies. A good way to find someone who knows what they're doing would be to search google for "internet consulting". The companies at the top of the organic results obviously know what they're doing and can get you results like that for your site!

I personally think you need to find a good SEO Company to deal with your SEO work. It is not easy to find a good SEO company. But here is some tips-

* Check their sample works (top ranking clients with very competitive search terms)..and contact those clients..(A lot of SEO companies out there shows some other SEO company's work as of their work)

* Do not invest a lot of upfront money.. try to deal month to month..no long term agreement...

* Expect them to Guarantee their work...ok nobody can Guarantee top rankings..But they can fix their charges according to the rankings they provide..

* Ask your SEO company to focus on lead generating search terms ..not some tricky search terms.. you can check inventory.overture.com to have some idea about search terms in your industry...At the end you need leads, not just top rankings...

here is a list with some points to watch for when choosing a SEO company:

Do they promise to guarantee #1 ranking? If they do, you have a serious reason to doubt their competencies.

Get recommendation from friends, business partners, etc.

Google the company name. If the company is a known fraudster, chances are that you will find a lot of information about it on the Web.

Ask for examples of sites they have optimized.

Check the PR of their own site.

Ask them what keywords their site ranks for.

Do they use automated submissions? If they do, stay away from them. Automated submissions can get you banned from search engines.
