I bought a domain "ecurities.com" thinking it a nice brandable name for building a stock market(NASDAQ) website.
After buying the domain i posted it for appraisal in a forum to find how good is it and what other people think.

One of the post said that i should use it as a domain hack using the domain as s.ecurities.com which can make it more popular rather than as www.ecurities.com.

My questions are
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Are the domain hackes of any use ?
2) Will it help me brand my product better using the domain hack ?
3) What should be the market cost of the above mentioned domain hack ?
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Awaiting your most valued comments.

Thanks & Regards,

In this case, I suspect any gains will be more than equalled by confusion.

The s. is not a logical break, and is likely to end in typos and not branding.

But others may disagree ...

The cost would be negligable - you just create a subdomain called "s"

S/he is right. Use s.ecurities.com I like this name.

One good example of such name: del.icio.us

Thanks for your comments guys.

So you think that ecurities.com will be more brandable & effective as it suggests "e securities" for more.

What say ?
