I may need some paid help. My site is doing quite well on most key words. I need to increase rank to 5 and get optimized on a 2-4 more keywords..infact a few positions. One keyword is ranking 16 and ofcourse i wanna improve to under 10.
Can anybody recommand a SEO person that is higly recommanded by most people and not too pricy? Thanks.

Sammy - your best bet is to look around here and contact soem folks.
Many folk here do this work, and reading through soem of the past posts can give you an idea on if they appear to understand what theya re doing.
Drop them a quick PM and run from there.
Make sure you have a budget in mind, though, as SEM help can get expensive.

Hello Sammysamn
It's all about track-record - One cannot hide behind celebrity status in this industry. Ask your prospect to provide track-record - they should at least provide you with some referrals for the reference.
When looking at track-record, keep your focus on the placement/position improvement and competitiveness of the marketplace. If all you see is a list of 'tail' search terms - for example, John Doe (some company name here) real estate agent Chicago IL - you should ask them to show you the track-record of some competitive terms. As a SEO consultant, if he/she can't rank well with a 'tail' search term as that, he/she, probably, lacks necessary skills/knowledge to deliver upon your need(s).
Also, when their Need Assessment doc for your site/business contains more technical jargons/lingos than words you can understand, there's a chance that they've bloated Need Assessment beyond the...well, Need
Need Assessment should quickly state the current issues and solutions in plain English/language.
Simple rule is to find someone who can identify your need(s)/issue(s) and offer solutions - and have an ability to effectively communicate both issues and solutions in ways you can understand.
Just as for everything else, quality of the service would heavily depend on how deep your pocketbook is.
HTH and GL with your search for that 'right' partner
Your humble,
visitor

and not too pricy?
What's your definition of "not too pricey"?
