My company got contacted recently by a company called "Search Elevator." The sales person claims that for $500 for 10,000 hits, he will put them in the top 3 spots in Google and Yahoo....immediately. Heres the weird thing.... He claims that he has a "special" software that loads to people computers when they download software from the net. Once they have downloaded this software, THEY WILL GET DIFFERENT RANKINGS then others..... and your site will be 1,2,or 3....

What is wrong with this picture?????

That is called spyware, one of the nastiest and disgraceful things on the internet today. It's scumware, I would stay far far away from it.

Sounds like they trick people into downloading scumware on their machines, and that program modifies the results they see.

    Yeah, great strategy.

    Don't get involved.

Well, I had to pick a place I had a miserable experience at and France topped the list. Sorry.
