Hello all,
Two questions from a new forum member:
1. I run an internet marketing business. I've been approached by acquaintances who want to supply me with referrals/introductions to potential clients. Does anyone have suggestions for reasonable commissions to be paid - percentages, durations, etc.?
2. I'd like some input re: what other internet marketing firms charge for administering a client's PPC campaigns.
Apologies if these topics have already been covered in this forum. Many thanks for any and all input.
Cheers,
David

Interesting questions--welcome to the forums, by the way. Many people in this industry guard their answers to these questions, and I suspect that it's because the industry is so new and that the answers are considered to be 'trade secrets'. I'll do my best to answer them, though.

It really depends on your business relationship with these acquaintances, but a percentage of 10 to 15 percent of the first year's business or a flat rate of a few hundred dollars would be reasonable, depending on the size of the account.

This is a more closely guarded secret by the SEO industry, but I've heard about several different business plans. Some charge a flat percentage of the monthly spend by the client--about 30 percent of that monthly spend. Others charge a retainer fee and a monthly maintenance fee. Some charge a flat percentage of the monthly spend, a retainer fee at the beginning, and a monthly maintenance fee.

Welcome to the forum David. We charge a monthly fee of 15% of PPC spending. However, we have a minimum budget requirement… I do not know how many companies have this model.
