Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you had experienced such a problem with Adwords Editor;
last week I go into Adwords Editor, and do a simple campaign name change on 5 campaigns which have been set to be on the search networks ONLY, and then I posted my changes.
When I ran a report this week, I noticed that I had incured over $3000 in ad spend generated on the Content Network, and that my campaign daily budget was jacked by 800%. I did history report, and saw that those changes were done the same day i did the campaign name changes.
Have any of you ever encountered these problems with Adwords Editor?
Have you got gotten a refund from Google?

Ouch, that will be a tricky one as it looks like you put your prices up and Google has delivered service, so legally not sure how you can sort that one. Also Google (from my knowledge) only signs you up to the content network by default, it doesn't bug out and add you
However your account may of been hacked, you haven't resubmited your adwords details recently have you? because it's a phising attempt and this may of got you.

Did you get the benefit of the extra spend?

Yes, $3000 worth of extra spend.
The campaigns were not set to be in the Content Network, and the daily budgets were at under a $100; when the name changes were posted, the content network got enabled, and my daily budgets were over $1000.
According to the change history it was done with my username, so I am sure it was the editor that messed up something.

Sorry, I mean did you get any extra business (ROI) out of the accidental overspend?
