Trying to import your AW campaigns into Panama? This may save you some time:
1. From the AW Editor select EXPORT CSV for a given campaign.
2. If the Campaign has negative keywords in it, edit the CSV file using Excel to remove all ROWS with the negative keyword content.
3. Save your file as a .csv.
4. From YSM select CAMPAIGNS>IMPORT>SELECT THIRD PARTY CAMPAIGNS. Click BROWSE and navigate to your CSV file, name the import, and click CONVERT.
All this is very intuitive except that YSM doesn't tell you that it can't convert a campaign that has negative keywords associated with it. It took me half a day of on and off experimentation make it work (Hope I'm not the last one to figure this out).

Thank you for sharing this information. I suspect you also need to remove any phrase and exact match keywords as well. Did you not have any in the data you imported?
Importing the data is definitely going to be a challenge. Even Yahoo's Reps are still finding data that won't import correctly. Sometimes you end up with no ads, other times with no keywords, and sometimes none of either.
Be sure to check everything over once you get it imported. Note that the default is advanced match so if you want standard match check to see if you can set it before you import or you'll have to edit it later.
The default may also be content on so if you want it off be sure to verify the status. You may have to edit that too.

All good points. I definitely won't trust the import explicitly, but it's a good way to jump start campaigns in the new YSM model. I admit that I have let my YSM programs settle into the backwater of online advertising, favoring instead feature-rich AdWords. Panama provides an opportunity to correct that. I am surprised that YSM hasn't provided a clean port for Google campaigns, since the new model is so AdWords-like. Have they let their ego get the best of them, perhaps?

I had a bunch of exact and phrase match keywords, as well as a ton of negative keywords. None (or very little) of this fine-tuning content made it over to YSM after the port. I can tune it up manually, but can't find how to specify negative keywords. Anyone know how? I saw where you can select TACTICS at the campaign level and do it there, but I don't see an "Excluded Words" dialog box. However, I have such a box at the Administration Level. I think YSM's GUI needs some work.

The excluded keywords are in there somewhere. I'll go look and post how to find them.
