Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you currently uses or have already used Ask.com PPC and if it's worth the hassle?

I know that they deliver the sponsored results to Askjeeves, which is pretty big in europe, but is it comparable to Google Adwords and Yahoo?

What are your opinions on Ask.com?

Everyone running ads on Google's search network is already running ads on Ask.com. You can run ads directly at Ask and they'll display either your Google ad OR your Ask ad. I haven't had the time or had a client wanting to expand beyond the traffic I can generate elsewhere so I haven't done that yet myself.

There is one April 2006 article about direct Ask.com ads converting better so it might be worth doing. The article does mention originally having a challenge checking whether the same ad cost more directly from Ask than when it was in Google.

Does Ask.com mix google adwords and ask ppc sponsored results then?

If we advertise on Ask only, do we appear on google as well?

It's kinda crazy competiting against yourself for the same keywords, no?

Yes, Ask.com shows a combination of Google and Ask PPC ads. If you advertise on Ask only you will not appear on Google as Google only shows their own ads.

Managing whether you're bidding against yourself would definitely be a challenge when advertising at both places unless Ask has changed something to prevent it.

It sounds like that other advertiser would notify Ask when they were paying more and Ask was manually changing that keyword by keyword. That would not be fun.

And you wouldn't want to lower your bids at Google to prevent that because that lowers your positions everywhere else too.

You would still be covering more ground if that was the case with Google and Ask.

I will give them a call and let you know what they say.

I can't find their number!
Does anybody have the telephone number of Ask.com by any chance?
