hi guys first i'd like to say great froum!!

i have a little problem i need some help with.

i purchased a domain and hosting and they supplied cpanel & oscommerce but they have a installation problem. i installed oscommerce 7 times and each time when i login to admin i get blank pages(after ages looking at forums and doing whatever they suggested to get it running & i emailed the guy i bought the hosting from and no replies i decided to give up on that opion.) So i'm working with no shopping cart software atm...

SOO i'm thinking outside the box. i am going to build a webpage the old fashioned way and integrate paypal into it. which is fine i got all that under control BUT... i'd like to be able to accept bank deposit also. with the paypal checkout system all items go into a cart and go straight paypal checkout. so unless my customers buy one item at a time (which is annoying for them and unprofessional) i'm not sure how to go about adding the option to pay via bank deposit at the checkout process.

i dont know how to install other shopping cart software onto my host other then through cpanel and fatastico so i'm not sure maybe a script i put into my pages? i dont know if a new install of another shopping cart will clash with whats already there ie: cpanel and fantastico? whatever you can offer will be muchly appreciated... i've been messing around with this for over 3 weeks i just want the site up and running already its diving me loco tongue

when it comes owning my own domain i am new to this soo all the programing is a little hard to get my head around especially if my host hasn't set up programs/installs properly eek

any help will be really appreciated.
thanks
:D

Why don't you change your hosting provider? IMO, it's a simple solution to your problem.

You can take refund at pro-rata basis.

If he's in the US, be sure to report him to the better business bureau. Won't likely do anything, but it's a start.

After that, make sure the title you're using in your e-mails to him are clear - his spam filter might simply be filtering them out if it's coming from a free e-mail account. wink

Next up, find out where his domain is registered, and let them know you're having a problem with him and that he's on the borderline of being deemed a fraud.

...then, if you can find his domain registration info, there's a chance you can find his address in that info. if you can, it's worth a call to the local police in his area. Find the right detective, and they might just agree to pay him a visit to ask what he intends to do to settle things BEFORE you launch a fraud case against him. wink

Then there is the ISP route. Contact his ISP and explain the situation. No ISP likes to have a dead beat or spammer on their servers, so there's a chance they might ping the guy with a warning - I've done this with spammers before to great effect. wink

You might find the problem is the guy doesn't really know what he's doing, hence his inability to solve the problem. No biggie, really, so long as he either fixes it or gives back the money - and screw the pro-rated refund. You paid for a working platform and never had it - insist on a full refund.

I know this doesn't answer the question directly, but might help you in the long run.
