    Hi,

My new website is at www.euro-supplies.com. I know that people have a need for these products and I have had several people visit the website using very specific PPC key terms. Plus there is very little competition on the web and we are the cheapest around. And yet people are clicking and not buying. Any ideas?!

    Ben

Hi Ben - welcome to the forums smile

I looked at the site (very nice clean design) and attempted to buy but got a PayPal screen (on go to checkout) that said

    >>We are sorry that we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later.

    Coincidence?

    Have you thoroughly tested it?

BTW How long has the site been up?

    Hi Phil,

Thanks for your (quick!) reply. I thought I had thoroughly tested it and I have processed several transactions to make sure Paypal is working, so I'm not quite sure what the error is. Very useful to know though thank you, I will look into that...

If you don't mind me asking, where are you accessing the site from and what browser are you using?

The site has been up about a week.

    Ben

Ben - I'm in the UK on a Mac running Firefox on OSX Tiger

Also I have heard it said that person visits a site 3 or 4 times before they buy - could just be early days. BTW is your pricing competitive?

Thanks Phil. I think it may be a problem with Paypal system to be honest, which is frustrating cos there's not really anything I can do about it. True that it is early days but because the product is so specific I expected better conversion. Our pricing is the cheapest I'm aware of.

It's just a bit frustrating as we are paying PPC, but we are starting to get on the normal listings as well now so that should taper off. Thanks for all your help.

I'm sure it will pick up.

    Ben
