    We're new to e-commerce & are looking to integrate an e-commerce system into our content management website sytstem. Does anyone have any advice about e-commerce freeware or other software which is good to use? Should we go to the hastle of developing our own, or even use a commercial provider (CCNow/ PAypal)

    I found out that the combination between OSCommerce (free) and ikobo payment module (also free to setup and 2.99% fee) works well for me.

    If you sell over 1k a month, we recommend a real merchant account. Payments are faster (24-72 hours direct to your bank account). As for hosting and shopping carts, we like ApolloHosting.com which comes with Miva free.
