Before, I was skeptical about Doubleclick Select because of the exclusivity requirements, but it seems most of the top tier ad networks (i.e. Doubleclick, 24/7, Adsmart, L90) have similar policies on that, so at this point, I'm reconsidering it. Does anyone have any knowledge of what type of results it delivers? I'm not worried about not qualifiying or not having enough page views for targeting, but I'd like to hear some input before jumping into an exclusive.

Also, does anyone think the recent privacy problems would result in problems? Personally, I think that with Doubleclick above 30 billion ads/month, most people are going to run into them eventually and need to deal with them, so it's not an issue, but I'm interested in hearing what others think.

Has anyone had any experience with pay per click search engines like: www.overture.com.

Also How about pay for visitor websites like: ht tp://www.iwinweekly.com
ht tp://www.boxlotto.com

They both have the same idea, they bring people to your site, but the pretty much pay them to come... Do you think this could work?

I'm looking to buy traffic, but there is so much out there!!

[just delinking]

It would be a lot easier to give you specific help if we knew what program you are using for your graphic creation and layout, but here goes anyway.

For print purposes, you have to set the resolution for your graphics. Since the size of the file is usually not an issue, you can set the number of pixels per inch (dpi) to the value that will give you the best results (usually between 150 and 600 dpi).

If you are having the ad professionally printed, you should talk to the printer about the optimal dpi and lpi settings for his equipment.

If you are planning to print from a computer printer, you probably will only have the option of 300 or 600 dpi. No matter what value you set for your graphic, the printer will use the settings in its default print setup.

No matter what program you are using to create the graphic, you should be able to set the rulers and guidelines to measure in inches. Simply place your guidelines to the dimensions you need, and make sure that your graphic stays within the guidlines.

You should know that web graphics do not print well. They have a default dpi of 72, which is much lower than most print printing equipment requires for satisfactory results (unless you're doing a billboard, in which case you will want an even lower dpi).

Hope this helps

Overture posts the top 3 highest paid for keyword sites on many large sites such as yahoo. If your keywords arent too pricey that is alot of exposure til your account runs dry. I dont know how the other companies work I ll have to check that out but i doubt they work like or have anywhere near the effect overture can if you can afford it and googles adwords program i have heard some good things about. hth dave

with box lotto you are paying for more or less untargeted vistors. If you need hits you usually need hits of people actually interested in your product say i do a search for something at yahoo I look and see their results and I see overtures results then I see googles results all targeted to my search. All relevant to what I wanted. I think you will probably get the hits but your roi or your conversion wont be that good. Alot of visitors maybe no sales though. imho dave

I don't really understand Bob. 6 months ago you said you used one of those and it worked great for you. I am going to close this thread and let the conversation take place in the original one. There is already a bunch of information there, although I am unclear on why you are asking a second time around.

"how do I get real traffic to my site"
Wow, this is an old thread with a great question.

Real traffic doesn't come via clickmonkeys smile I think most folks understand that. Traffic is meaningless if it does not convert. Isn't it?

So, I will come to the table and suggest related links as being a good venue outside of search engines, directories, PPC etc. I don't mean contrived link exchanges but real honest to God placement on web sites that are of high quality, standing and relevance.

Traffic that comes in from relevant referals is much sticker than traffic appearing via curiosity, frustration or lack of anything better to click on.

By the way - welcome to our mad house - take a cruise around our forums! smile

Question for all - how do YOU get traffic to your website? Specify if you care about the quality or not - there is a difference.

Revelant referrals - people clicking on links from pages where they are already looking at same, similar or related subject matter.

I have always found that content is king, pr is way overated as is alexa, & feed the engines and they keep coming back...

Basically follow those rules and you end up with QAULITY over quanitity. and thats best way to go.

Then work on the volume from there.

Also... I don't know if this would be considered acceptable but ((URL REMOVED)) can drive targetted traffic to your site as well.

If the url is a problem for this post then my deepest apologies and please snip.

I am just trying to help.

I buy mine from trafficads.biz
