Can anyone recommend a good lead generation company? I know that I will hear the responses of generating my own leads, however, the upper management of my company insists this route. Any feedback would be hugely appreciated. My experience and knowledge of lead generation companies are that it is very difficult to get high quality leads, and that finding out where your "offer" is showing up is not really an option. Again, any advice is appreciated.
Thank You

I'm a bit wary of lead generating companies for two main reasons
1. What have they pitched to them!?
2. it can cost a fair bit for a lead and may not convert

What type of industry? There are lots of lead generation companies specific to each industry.
That is the essence of my business. Couple of tips if you look to buy leads:
1) Ask what information is captured on each lead. The more info, the more qualified it is. Obviously, its much harder to have a "lead" give you their name, address, daytime phone, evening phone, email, description of their need, budget, etc... than jsut getting a name an email. THe more info - the more serious the buyer.
2) How many companies receive the lead? The more companies that lead is referred to, the more competition, the lesser the change of you winning the business, and the greater the chance the lead becomes a "price-shopper" because they've heard so many different pitches and get confused.
3) What is their refund policy? You'll have to determine what is fair here. In some cases, there is no refund policy. There are logical reasoning for both sides of the fence on this one.
Hope this helps!

When it comes to lead generation there are several things to keep in mond when making a decision. I have researched many of these companies and would keep the following in mind.
1) Do they verify the leads for you before you receive them?
2) Are they returnable for "non-contact"?
3) Can you control the message to the lead upon download?
4) How are the leads generated?
5) Do they have a stated refund policy?

Even Salesforce is into lead generation. Isn't it? Can't you try that.

Lead generation can also be had by joining an affiliate network. You can set it up so that only converting leads get paid for.

You also generate lead by driving free traffic to your website.
You can generate traffic by building relationship in forum, blog and there are many other ways.

One simple question.
How lead generation companies will get leads? Is it like through their database.
