We use tracking URLs and cookies to track ROI. We clean off the tracking URL for spiders/crawlers/bots.

Do I need to clean off cookies for them, too?

(In other words: Do spiders accept cookies?)

Thanks! (I am also posting this to one or two other threads, as I am uncertain where the answerer(s) might hang out.)

Slurp does not accept cookies as far as I am aware.

MakeMeTop: (thanks!) See the Yahoo/Inktomi forum for a continuing commentary on this. Apparently bhartzer is of the opinion that cookies will not only be rejected by spiders, but will cause them to stop spidering a site that uses cookies.
