    IS there any way of letting people upload stuff onto a website in a specific place? If yes will HTML work to achieve this? Can someone help me out please

    You need a server that can run server-side scripts like PHP or ASP.

    This has nothing to do with client-side scripting like Javascript by the way.

    There are many upload scripts out there, but be mindful of security with people attempting to hack your site, or just maliciously fill the webspace. Make the user have to register before posting so they get a user name and cannot delete stuff posted by other people, and so on.

    Once you find out what languages your server supports you can then go looking for suitable scripts.

    HTML itself is simply a markup language. It does not have the capability to transfer files.

    You can also set up an anonymous ftp folder on the site, that's the simplest way, but it's not very elegant. It is quick and easy though.
