Well Hamids68 is happy with the advice he got but I´d just like to say that everyone comes to their first website in a different way.

Mine was hand coded, via an html tutorial on the web. It doesn´t exist anymore I am delighted to say but it did sell a few pieces of exotic furniture which was its function.

My next major design web project was initially a hobby. Built in FP and absolutely horrific from a designer or codehead´s pov. I´ve longed for the free time to change it all over into DW templates but that´s not going to happen any time soon. Still this lurching dinosaur of a site pays my rent and receives an average of 20,000 visitors a month. Maybe not earthshattering, but it still rocks my boat to think all these people are visiting something I made.

Eventually I found DW and do all my clients sites in that. I can´t say I am any kind of expert. Any time I want to do anything a bit different, I go and hunt the ´net fot tutorials - or come here for advice.

My advice to anyone starting out would be to do a few of the html tuts to get the hang of the language, then go straight to DW. I´ve used both PSP and photoshop and like them both. Learning curve wise, PSP is better and you´ll find hundreds of sites dedicated to PSP tuts.

Photoshop is amazing but damn scary when you lose the plot. Mine has started crashing on me and I find when I kick up PSP that it handles just about everything I wanted to do anyway.

Even if you do get a designer in, Hamids68, do a couple of html tutorials, hang about here for seo advice and be genned up enough that you can cut through the waffle.

Best wishes with your new site.

what I am not sure about is: "be genned up enough"

What does that phrase mean? genned? does it mean like revved or...?

:D Hey Excell. I am delighted to know something you don´t.Truly, there is a first time for everything.
Don´t know where the term comes from but genning up is getting the info on a subject.Maybe it´s a Scottish term so Hamid should gen up on SEO and I should gen up on proper English.

"to gen up" -- to get the info you need, to study, to be informed, etc

hello

first of all let me to apologize for my english that is not fluently and may be there are full of grammer mistakes. thanks for your advices... but I realy have had important problems in progressing my project from 9 months ago . I have changed 3 designers whom arrogate they are profesional programers.... but they were not...all were between 18-22..the last one allegates he knows all things but I found he knows only creating some flash things and working with frontpage and photoshop...but he doesn`t know any programing that many times needed....

I am creating 40 medical sections, that in any section.. it will have..especific forums..news section ,article section, links, books, news photos, newsletter, search for internal data base,weblogs.. faq... voice chat....and many other things..it seems not only the ones cant create the site.
but also it needs a profesional team..whom support me and my moderators for eversmile

I cant pay the money my self ..and I am thinking about getting sponsership for my site...it can help me very well I guess..but myself cant learn designing or programing and even I dont have time for it... I have to hire one team or finding someone again who seems he realy knows programing...and I am nervous at now bc I havnt progressed except than my forum..which has 730 registered users( it is free for registeration) and 2.5 gigabites bandwich usage per month.
