Anyone ever heard of it? What is this? huh To me, it looks like some type of money earning software and needs to be avoided but I'm up for suggestions. I saw a post but interested in what others have to say about it here as this is the place to discuss such things.

Thanks in advance for thoughts. You guys n gals have always been tops as far as helping me out when I've needed it!! smile

ETA: I have a piece of software which I use for page ranking and link checking however I'm really unsure about this one, hence the questions. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

    Don't bother with it.

Software like this claims to submit to thousands of directories for you - and it's all BS. There are about 20 or so directories worth submitting to - and they can all be found in this list.

Once you submit to a directory, you forget about it. if they include you, great, if not, no biggie - move on.

I encourage everyone to manage these submissions manually - automated systems often miss steps are cannot complete the process due to captchyas, etc.

Seriously, there are very few pieces of software you really need - and this isn't one of them.

Bah - my link to the directory list was edited out... sad Oh well.

My advice on submitting manually still stands. smile That's the important bit.

I can understand that. I have a listing which I use for manual submissions; cannot recall what it is off hand but I believe I got it off of here in one of the threads where there was like three different directory listings.

I've done directory submissions but have wondered if they are worth taking the time in doing. I was always curious if there were particular directories that were better for being submitted in or is it a matter of looking at those that have good rankings and going with that thought?

The list that I had received of directories to submit to was a mix of free to those for paid. I'm unsure on how to judge for ranking and curious how others have done it. This is something obviously that can add up quickly and become quite costly if not done carefully.

Hope I'm making sense in asking questions. Any help is appreciated! Have a great holiday weekend!

If it was the list I post to the 'strongestlinks' list, then they are initially ranked by PR values, but the list is sortable, IIRC by other values as well.

I will typically go through the effort to submit to the free ones, and maybe any paid ones I feel "fiscally" up for. wink

    Mt rationale is this:

Over time, every site gets it's own growing list of inbound links. Most are not through any effort on your part, just sites linking to you for their own reasons.

Given the amount of mis-information, mis-direction and incorrect thinking that exists on link building, I see the directories as a small way to balance some of the garbage I'm bound to attract. It's not much, but it's easily controlled by me so I take the time to manage it.

On my experience manual submission in directories is better that automated submission. you can navigate all changes and your in charge of the content that you want to put on the directory.

using software for submission is not good. I prefer mannual submission to software submission.coz software may be the reason of spamming.

I have been using the new Brad Callen software -its a cross between manual and auto (maybe semi auto?) -it pastes in the infomation in the forms, saves all the links to submit pages.

Have used an hour a day- have only got doen to the PR directories so far- Have got the term "reciprocal link directory" out of 1.4 million sites (I am number 7) - Granted its not a super High traffic term- but a start.

It was more a test for myself- before I recomended to anybody else -took around a month and 1/2 to get to this place.

    Best Regards

    Hi,
I have heard about SEMI-automatic submission such as
    digixmas.com
    directoryvault.com
    resellergo.com
I havent tried any of them, But I guess it would be nice to have a semi-automatic instead of Automatic , Please let me know if any one has experience, I heard that some such as allow keyword selection based directories in resellergo.com

    Please let know your experience

    Thanks,
    Ted
