I'm just trying out GIF Animator and already confused. I used it's "Export as an Active Desktop Item" feature without knowing what I was getting into and now I can't figure out how to remove the animation that's been placed on my desktop. Now, I don't mind the animation even though it was my first attempt, but I'd like to remove it as it's getting a little annoying seeing it every time I look at the desktop. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it? Thanks for any help.

Is the animation set as your background? If it is you'll need to change that setting in Windows. Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Desktop. In the "Desktop" section choose another background and then click 'apply'. That should do the trick to change it for you. If its just set as an icon on your desktop you can use the right click button on your mouse and a menu will pop up. Select 'delete' and that will remove it for you. Welcome to the forums, hope it helps.

Thanks, Sinoed
I already solved the problem and it was neither of the ones you mentioned. I did find the solution in the Desktop Web items but it took a lot of searching. Thanks for the reply.
