I'm looking for good examples on good looking onlinestores, but every single one I've found looks like cr@p...and that goes for Norwegian as well as US/others.

The customer is the biggest niche onlinestore in Norway, specializing in overclocking and modding equipment. They want a stylish, simple, light and easy-on-the-eye design.

The best examples I've found so far are:

    frozencpu.com
    pcmods.com
    lux-design.com/onlinestore
    casetech.co.uk
    chill-tek.com

Any of you have any other suggestions??

are you a decent graphic designer?

just thinking.....if you aren't, you should pay someone, and if you are, you shouldn't need to rip someone else off? it's only photoshop skills and a colour scheme imo?

look for sites outside your field, imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but originality is the key to success. or just sit around sketching things out til you get a decent clue?

also check uk sites and use the gaming sites such as clanbase to get additional site links.

You could check out http://www.freesitetemplates.com for a few ideas. Ideally though you use a couple of them as ideas for your design and work from there. Try a couple of layouts from scratch and sketch out your ideas on paper then leave them for a couple of days and then come back to them and you should be able to pick out the best one to go from.

    i like GateWay http://www.gateway.com/
Be ware that it's not always about just the good looking design, it's a lot of customer behavior studies behind those simple designs.
