Is there any way to find out specific websites who are currently running adsense for target key phrases? I assume because adsense is in javascript I can't run a query on Google to include "Ads by Google" or similar. Reason I ask is we may be doing some advertising for a company who have a service that we don't think would be right for normal pull marketing on Google Adwords but it would be nice to get their site advertised on others. We thought running an ads campaign just on the content network might be worth a shot but don't know if any one of note is using adsense in our area.

It's a shared ownership scheme (buy part of a house rent the other part cheap) but it's for a specific area and there's no search volume to people searching for shared ownership in town(s)/county(ies).

Any other thoughts on ways of advertising online would be of interest.

We are considering running adwords but mention the towns in the ad to stop people out of the area clicking - Google's geotargeting towns doesn't work v. well in the UK it says my IP is in a place 200miles away.

Definitively, no. basically, those who use Adwords to PLACE ads, show up on Adsense spaces.

If you know there's no search traffic on your target phrases, then perhaps you should consider places like Craigslist and other local-focused classified sites.

Make sure you do the organic work, though, as having zero searches a month is different than having 3 searches per month on a phrase. Both would be considered "no search volume" in my book, but if you can own the 3 searches per month, you should.

Networks might be a way to go, too - provided they can geo-target for you. Many can, so I'd persue this angle.

Also, and someone with more experience in this can chime in here, but could you use local search to benefit here? You'd need a localized address to focus yourself in that area, but if your client is there, then this might help, too. You'd be abel to possibly broaden the keywords they're found under yet still keep things local to their region.

I'll bet some potential clients haven't even thought of looking at things in this manner, so going after phrases for renters & buyers may make sense to gain the exposure.

    Thoughts, ya'll?
