We run a uk business directory which is a directory/search engine. The search and part of the directory listings pages come from MIVA results. Currently we get about 7-8k unique visitors per month and generate pence not pounds/cents not dollars. Does anyone have any recommendations on what makes a good directory and why every visitor seems to not click any of the results when they search.

Try using either Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) or Large Rectangle (336 x 280) adsense above your content and center of pages.

maybe your directory thing is that good, people don't want to leave it VIA adverts!? try putting your navigation (if you haev one) from the left to the right and put adsense on the left hand side or something crazy like that lol

tdubya,
did you ever find a solution for a good monetized directory feed?
I find the MIVA directory to be a pretty shallow and diluted with quite a few links to affiliates and not much meat in their searches.
Let me know if you found another solution!!!
