OK, I've been toying with the idea of adding this type of contextual advertising to my site.
It's the sort which ads the links over top of specified keywords as they appear in my content.
The advertisers bid on the placements and I get a "taste" of each click my users make.
It's fairly unobtrusive (double underline under the word, you hover over the word and a small box shows the advertisers details - move your mouse it goes away) and is a way to target users as they actually read the content - not just surround their reading space with ads.
Anyone have any actual experiences they can share - good, bad, etc.
Many of these programs require 500,000 page views a month to get in, which rules me out, but it appears Clicksor doesn't have this rule - payments might be low, but it might also be worthwhile.
...and according to their specs/sales-pitch, it's compatible with other contextual programs, too - which means, apaprently, it'll "play nice" with Adsense. Hopefully Adsense will see it as OK and not stop showing ads if I try it out...
