Hello all. I am new to this community and I am looking forward to sharing and learning with everybody here. *Waves hello*
I am sure that you are all familiar with Microsoft's AdCenter, Yahoo's Overture and Google's AdWords. Am I correct in thinking that the technology behind online advertising is called Generalized Second Pricing? I am also curious to know what companies develop this technology for personal website use. I am working on a website, which I would like to host targeted (pay-per-click) ads on, and I want to find a firm that will develop a program like AdCenter, overture or Adwords for my website. I guess what I am asking is, how can I publish my own ads on my website? I want my website (which is still in development) to target specific candidates for specific positions. Well, any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you all ahead of time.

This will be interesting, since I don't know the answer.
I know that Google's ads match the keyword density on my pages. So I could virtually add a static ad to a page.
But, if people are bidding for display position, and limiting daily spending, that would certainly require a system like Google's or Yahoo's Overture - in some regards.
Sounds like a good question.
