Perhaps this isn't the best place to be asking this, so I'm sorry, but I live in the UK and am considering adding AdSense boxes to my site. Can I just sign up for it and go for it, or do I need to declare it on my tax returns form? I have searched several sites, but can't seem to find anything relevant. I really hope it doesn't need to be declared!wink
Thanks

Welcome to the forums Eddie! smile

Adsense revenues are paid out to whoever signs upfor the account. So, if you use your own name for it, the cheques show up payable to you.

If you sign up in the name of a business, they are payable to the business.

In the end, it's you choice whether to declare the income. Google doesn't tell the gov what they've paid you, AFAIK, but a quick look at your bank statements will show undeclared deposits, so...

Just an FYI (and I have no idea what applies when one party is not US based), in the US the payor is required to report payments to an individual via a form 1099 if they total over $599 in a calendar year. When the IRS processes your tax return, if any 1099 amounts have not been declared, you could find yourself in deep yogurt. wink
