Joel Comm claims that he earn $25k / month in Adsense? Is this possible? or a plain scam?

Search for Joel Comm in Google and you would find a site with a title of Adsense Secrets Revealed.

nope, its not impossible. not easy or even realistic for all - but it is possible. $25k every month consistently is even more difficult than achieving it one month.

I only followed the google one.. interesting.
I don't see any other link there...Personally, I don't care to hear the claims.. I see enough spam sites out there sitting pretty with adsense that it makes no difference to me to here of a good content site touted by Google making those sorts of dollars.

I am sure that the bottom line of it all good quality content or spammulatastic... Google is making some very cool $s in there as well.. of course they want everyone else to make mega bucks!

soulmate678,

Sure, go for it. You know what you are doing. Nevermind these forums. Nobody here has the strength you do. Good plan. Retire in, like, four months. No prob. I really haven't "got it" like you, so I'm in the dark (like all the other folks that frequent these forums).

Nope. You are definitely a VISIONARY. On the other hand you could just put your whole family savings on the PASS line in 'Vegas and re-structure your vision in ten seconds.

I find it amazing that threads like this one are far more popular than threads that actually have something to do with contextual advertising.

Evidently, talking about some spam-scam, flim-flam, get-rich-quick scheme holds far more interest than discussing how to make money on your own, legitimately. I couldn't care less how much money these travelling snake oil salesmen and carpet-baggers make. Do you really think they have some special magic in the bottle?

It's CocaColanization all over again. "Secrets revealed" along with special sauce, lettuce, onions... News flash: Blind Hog Finds Acorn (once in a very great while). But I doubt the hog will share his acorn with you or divulge the "secrets" of how he found it.

I might go for it if this guy included free aluminum siding and a chance to win a trip to a third-rate hotel in the Bahamas. On second thought, maybe not. I'd rather spend my time watching the television testimonials from all those nouveau-riche, reposessed real estate morons and their gurus.

So is anybody going to start talking about contextual advertising in here or not?

dirty - chill wink

this is not a "bad" question - and the poster has ever right to ask it - that is what we are here for - to support - to teach and to learn from each other.

You disagree with the claims he was asking about and that is fine ( just for the record so do I .

You want to talk about contextual advertising - start a thread on it.

My point is this is a learning forum, and this question seems to me to have been posted as an effort for the poster to learn.

This thread is about money, at least so far. It is not a discussion about contextual advertising methods per se. You can be sure that I'm not trying to usurp anybodys sovereign right to ask whatever questions they wish in these forums so you need not defend it.

So far as I know, the ideal forum is one in which the posters are - at the same time - both the teacher and the student. Each of us can question, advise and learn in the same place. But unless there is some viable substance to the discussion, none of that takes place.

I suppose for this thread, then, that we should be pointing out the many hazards of trying to marry contextual advertising with webcasting, spamming, cloaking, link-farming, ClickBots and every other type of annoying or fraudulent method of falsly boosting revenue, eh?

You don't think contextual advertising is about money?

I think the word advertising might hold a clue.

Actually, I know Joel Comm's methods and his background. He sold a classic games site to Yahoo! a few while back. He knows what he's talking about and is very innovative in this industry, especially the contextual advertising/online publisher industry.

If you can create the content, good sites, and get the traffic then it's not impossible to make $25k a week in AdSense.

Which do you think would get more interest from the general public:

1. Secrets to Earning $25,000 a Month with Adsense

2. Building an Online Business Requires a Major Investment of Time and a Long Learning Curve

The reason "snake oil" sales pitches exist is because people respond to them. Societal conditioning has produced a "get rich quick" "I want it yesterday" mentality for everything in life.

Yes, it is possible to make $25,000 a month or even a week with Adwords. Yes, it is faster to do it the scummy way, but that doesn't mean it can't be done with quality content. It just takes longer.

Success online is possible. I work with many who have developed very successful, ethical businesses online. The key word here is "developed".

They are successful because they've embraced the learning curves, overcome bad advice, and continually improve and perfect what they're doing.

The "average" person pastes the Adsense code on their existing pages, gets whatever the results they get, and believes that is the potential for that option.

Those who make huge incomes from Adsense test, refine, test, and refine. They change the ad colors, fonts, placement, contents. They create more and more new content pages.

They may find high traffic sites and monetize them. They develop new ways to drive ever more traffic. They WORK at it, devote time to it, nurture it.

Success can be created over time. It rarely strikes like a lightening bolt.
